Admissions for returning Singapore Citizen
ADMISSION FOR RETURNING SINGAPORE CITIZEN / SINGAPORE PERMANENT RESIDENT
Returning Singapore Citizens (SC) or Returning Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) refers to:
- Children who are currently living and studying overseas
- Children who are returning home having lived and studied overseas
Returning SC or SPR who are interested in NUS High School are encouraged to participate in the Year 1 Direct School Admission Secondary (DSA-Sec) Exercise or Year 3 Admission according to the age eligibility. The details are stated at the link:
Returning Singaporean who missed the above admission periods may write to firstname.lastname@example.org for alternative test date. The deadline for both Year 1 and Year 3 is 31 October 2020.
ADMISSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
Due to COVID-19 situation, all international students who are not residing in Singapore are not eligible to take part in the Year 1 DSA-Sec Exercise.
NUS High School Year 1 DSA-Sec Exercise is open to all Singapore Citizens (CS), Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) and International Students (IS) who are residing in Singapore with a valid pass. In alignment to the MOE policy, IS who are residing in Singapore and seeking admission to Singapore mainstream schools are also required to sit and pass Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS). They may participate in our DSA-Sec Exercise before sitting and passing the AEIS. More information on AEIS is available here:
NUS High School Year 3 admission is only open to Singapore Citizens (SC), Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) and International Students (IS) who are currently studying in Secondary Two in the local mainstream schools who were not posted to a secondary school under the DSA-Sec Exercise or AEIS. IS who are not from local mainstream schools or not residing in Singapore are not eligible for Year 3 admission to NUS High School.
