Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC)
The SAFMC is the largest flying machine competition in Singapore, with over 300 teams taking part in 2014, the sixth time that the competition is being run.
In this competition, students in teams work to design, construct and fly planes that have to accomplish different missions.
In order to do well, teams have to come up with plane designs that are aerodynamically sound and which can successfully carry out set missions.
Category B (Gliders)
The team won overall 3rd place.
The team won 2nd for creativity and 2nd for theory of flight.
Category C (Remote control planes)
The team won overall 2nd place, 1st for creativity and performance.
The team won overall 3rd place and 2nd for theory of flight.
The team won 3rd for presentation.
Category D (Autonomous / semi-autonomous)
The team won Judges’ award.
