Yau High School Mathematics Awards 2013

The Yau High School Mathematics Awards, or YHMA, was established in 2008 to encourage high school students worldwide to participate in project-based competition in mathematical sciences. YHMA is named after renowned Chinese Mathematician Shing-Tung Yau, who won the Fields medal in 1982. The Fields medal is viewed as the greatest honour a mathematician can receive and often referred to as the “Nobel Prize for mathematics”.

The event took place on 15 and 16 Dec 2013.

Li Chenglei (M13607) and Zhou Jingqi (M13607) project ““A General Method of Flattening Convex Prismatoids into Flat Sheet”” won the S. -T. Yau High School Applied Mathematical Sciences Awards 2013 (Silver)

Congratulations to the winners!
