NUS High School Performed Outstandingly in the Asian Pacific Mathematical Olympiad (APMO) 2013

On 12 March 2013, a group of students represented Singapore in APMO 2013. This is a tough 4-hour competition where participants compete to solve 5 questions of varying difficulty.

Benchmarked against the best nations in the Asia-Pacific region, NUS High School students performed remarkably, claiming all Gold and Silver Medals, as well as 1 Bronze and 1 Honourable Mention awarded to Singapore.

Lim Jeck (M13606) was awarded the Gold Medal, while Yap Jit Wu (M13607) and Ling Yan Hao (M13508) obtained Silver Medals. In addition, Howe Choong Yin (M13401) obtained a Bronze Medal and Tan Pin Lin (M13606) was awarded an Honourable Mention.

This is the third consecutive year that NUS High attained Gold in the APMO. Only 1 gold medal is awarded to each country.
