Yau High School Mathematics Awards

The Yau High School Mathematics Awards, or YHMA, was established in 2008 to encourage high school students worldwide to participate in project-based competition in mathematical sciences. YHMA is named after renowned Chinese Mathematician Shing-Tung Yau, who won the Fields medal in 1982. The Fields medal is viewed as the greatest honour a mathematician can receive and often referred to as the “Nobel Prize for Mathematics”.

Ananya Kumar (M12609) and Ang Yan Sheng (M12609) project “Generalized Quantum Tic Tac Toe” won a Honourable Mention award.
