NUS High School Students Clinch Honorable Mention Awards at the International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics 2011

After a hiatus of two years, Singapore has once again sent a team of students to the International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics. After the selection test, four out of the five students selected to represent Singapore were from NUS High:

Qin Jue Hang (M11608), Timothy Tay Shao-En (M11508), You Guang Yi Rion (M11602), Ang Yu Jian (M11508).

The grueling event is ten days long, and tests students from all around the world on all areas of astronomy and astrophysics, both theory and practical.

Although this is the first time that NUS High has sent students for this event, Ang Yu Jian and Qin Jue Hang were able to achieve the honorable mention awards.

Congratulations to our students!
