NUS High School Wins Medal Haul at Singapore Junior Physics Olympiad

Singapore Junior Physics Olympiad took place on 3 Aug 2011 (General Round) and
3 Sep 2011 (Special Round). For this competition, a total of 302 Year 1 to Year 4 NUS High School students participated in the 4th SJPO, and they have done the school proud by securing 11 Gold Medals, 14 Silver Medals, 11 Bronze Medals, and 24 Honourable Mentions. NUS High School also won the Top Institution award.

What is SJPO?

 
The Singapore Junior Physics Olympiad (SJPO) is a Physics competition organised by the Institute of Physics which is catered to secondary school students and is an annual competition to encourage the study and appreciation of Physics. In addition, it is also a competition to highlight Physics talents and also as part of the process to select students for early training in the SPhO.
