NUS High School takes gold in Asian Pacific Mathematical Olympiad (APMO) 2011

On 8 March 2011, a group of students represented Singapore in the APMO 2011. This is a tough 4-hour competition where participants compete to solve 5 questions of varying difficulty.

Benchmarked against the best nations in the Asia-Pacific region, our NUS High representatives achieved the following: Lim Jeck (M11403) won a gold medal, both Ang Yan Sheng (M11509) and Ryan Chan (M11607) got bronze medals while Wayne Lin (M11607) obtained an honourable mention.

This was a better performance than last year's. In addition, Lim Jeck was Singapore's highest scorer.

Lim Jeck and Ang Yan Sheng would be representing Singapore in the International Mathematical Olympiad 2011. NUS High School will be counting on both of you!
