NUS High Girls win medals at 10th China Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad

The 10th China Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad was held in Shen Zhen, China from 30 July to 3 August 2011. For the 3rd consecutive year, NUS High girls have improved in their results.
 
Tan Pin Lin (M11404) won a Silver medal, while Surya Mathialagan (M11201) obtained a Bronze medal. Among the Singaporeans, Tan Pin Lin was 2nd while Surya came in 4th.

Background

The China Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (CGMO) has grown over the years to become the female version of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The best female Olympiad representatives from countries around the world compete against China’s best females in the CGMO for top honours in this annual competition.
