A Flurry of Awards at the Singapore Mathematical Society Award Ceremony

The Singapore Mathematical Society (SMS) organises the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO) annually. This year, NUS High obtained 21 Individual Awards across the 3 sections, improving over last year’s results. The team’s performance was also consistent across the 3 sections.
 
Individually, Sean Pek (M11201) came in 3rd in the Junior Section, while Lim Jeck (M11403) clinched 1st position in both the Senior and Open Sections.
 
In the team category, NUS High emerged 2nd in all 3 sections.
 
Prizes were also given out to the winners of the Singapore Mathematics Project Festival. NUS High emerged as champions in both the Junior and Senior sections. The Junior winners are Eunice Tan, Eun Jung Min and Tan Rong while the Senior winners  are Ananya Kumar and Ang Yan Sheng.
 
Both groups presented their winning projects to the audience. The school won the Foo Kean Pew Memorial Prize again and gets to keep the SMPF challenge shield for another year.
