The Commonwealth Essay Competition

The Commonwealth Essay Competition gives young people a voice by promoting literacy, academic excellence, story telling, reflection, awareness and creativity. Across the Commonwealth, the Competition generates a lot of good will, loyalty and enthusiasm, with over 50,000 students participating annually in schools around the globe.

Four NUS High School students won awards at the Commonwealth Essay Competition this year. They are as follows:

  • Annabeth Leow of M10508 - Bronze Award for Class A
  • Phyllis Poh Hui-Li of M10102 – Silver Award for Class C
  • Clara Yeo Zhe Xuan of M10305 – Silver Award for Class B
  • Kylie Goh of M10601 – Silver Award for Class A
