NUS High Students Emerged as Champions for SIMC 2010

NUS High School has every reason to celebrate the Singapore International Mathematics Challenge (SIMC) 2010. Not only did we play host to this international event, our NUS High School students also emerged as champions for the mathematical modeling challenge. Competing against 33 teams from 18 countries and regions, it was no mean feat winning this year’s challenge. As what Chief Judge, Prof Raymond Chan, Chair Professor in the Department of Mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, put it, “The solutions which were submitted far exceeded expectations. The quality of answers was highly commendable and some were truly impressive! The judging committee spent more than two hours deciding on the winning team.”

Congratulations to our winning team comprising of Cheng Herng Yi (M10508), Ryan Chan (M10507) and Wayne Lin (M10507). You all have kept the NUS High School flag flying high!
